The owners of this Victorian property added a large extension to create a new family space for living, eating and cooking. The classic in-frame Shaker kitchen featured a huge island with his and hers hobs, triple pan drawer units for maximum storage and an area for casual seating. Both owners are keen cooks and love interior design so it was important that the new kitchen functioned superbly whilst allowing space to showcase their mid-century furniture and accessories. Marble can stain and marks easily but this was one element that, for the owners, was essential to include in the design, any etching or marks only adding to the patina of this beautiful natural stone over time.
