Having spotted a Chalkhouse Kitchen featured in Ideal Home Magazine a few years ago, our client pinned the page onto her noticeboard as inspiration for her own Chalkhouse kitchen. Painted in Designers Guild Portobello Grey, with a Carrara Misterio marble type quartz worktop the space exudes calm. To add some warmth to the scheme we introduced a solid oak worktop on her island which cleverly conceals the essential microwave. A range cooker takes central stage inside a tiled chimney breast, tailored to the size of the room. Feature open shelving with Tongue and Groove detail at the far end of the room adds that pretty detail that our client so wanted whilst all the everyday essentials are behind the closed doors of the double larder cupboard. The integrated washing machine and dishwasher are fitted with matching in-frame doors to keep them hidden from view. In the adjoining dining room two matching feature glazed full height cabinets are fitted in the alcoves either side of the chimney breast to create symmetry and balance.
