Pinewood Hill
Guide Price: £27K+
A small kitchen and underused garden room were knocked through to create this eye catching, contemporary kitchen with a real pop of colour. Keeping the main kitchen area simple with subtle grey slab doors meant the bank of tall oven, fridge and larder units at the far end could make a real statement, painted in a fabulous tea rose pink. Creating a peninsular breakfast bar area gives a space for casual perching and breaks up the long lines of the room. Warm wood effect tiles on the floor are echoed in the oak finish on the cabinet interiors, including in the built in recessed unit for glasses that made neat use of an old understairs cupboard. A streamlined, angled glass extractor hood with a handmade glass splashback in rose pink and gold swirls picks up the pink of the tall units and creates a real feature of the main cooking run. Rose gold, sleek contemporary handles, fitted horizontally for a more modern touch, warm up the light grey slab doors in the main run. An internal door to the built in garage leads to a new utility space, cloakroom and the all-important dog shower for the much loved family pets, who posed so beautifully in the photoshoot!
