In a quaint cottage outside the city the owners wanted to create a light, beautiful kitchen in this relatively small space. They were lucky enough to have a chimney breast already but the small opening was enlarged to make it functional. The lower units were painted in a soft Farrow and Ball green with the tall unit and wall cabinet painted in a shade of off white to avoid dominating the small room. A single Belfast sink is in keeping with the traditional style whilst in the adjacent utility room a small stainless steel undermount sink is squeezed between the appliances. Lovely wall lights add a contemporary note and a soft glow at night when friends visit.
