The owners of this property, with a growing family, decided to add a large extension at the back which gave them space for a good size kitchen with generously sized island, dining area and TV seating snug. With plenty of natural light they opted a for a deep rich blue on the base and wall cabinets. Carefully tucked to one side of the pier, the tall units, with larder and fridge and freezer cupboards, were in a complimentary pale shade of grey so as not to dominate the space and appear too heavy. Marble solid surfacing worktops were fitted to the main sink and oven runs with contrasting solid oak used for added warmth on the island. Natural wicker breakfast bar stools tie in with the natural theme and match the solid oak free hanging shelves by the cooker hood. The kitchen was designed using the Chalkhouse Studio range of kitchen furniture, an off the shelf option available in standard sizes and a limited colour palette, that still has the same high quality as the Chalkhouse Bespoke range but at a more economical price point.
