GUIDE PRICE: Kitchen £26k+

Taking the dividing wall between the existing kitchen and the lounge in this modern home opened up expansive views across the wooded valley in both rooms, flooding the open plan space with light. Opting for the neutral Ammonite from Farrow and Ball on the main sink run and tall cabinets highlights the deep bluey green Squid Ink from Paint and Paper Library used on the island. Industrial details used on the anthracite radiator and external doors are picked up in the metal and timber bar stools and aged mirror splashback to add a graphic definition to the space which flows into the black and mustard lounge area alongside. With space at a premium, the slimline island features a rounded end to allow comfortable access to both the bar stools facing the views and practical tall cabinets behind. Unistone Carrrara Misterio Quartz wokrtops reflect the light all round the room whilst the bronze Corston handles add further depth to the scheme.
